While I was never one to join with the crowd (I was not an 'inny') I've lived a full and joyous life. Married for the last 42 years, one biological child, one adopted child....3 grandchildren, 4th on the way. Graduated with a bachelors degree in Microbiology, photography certificate, and Masters of Business Administration. Retired after almost 37 years with the Minnesota Department of Health, first in the Public Health Labs, then as a Director of Administrative Management Services. Climbed one of the highest mountains in the Rockies, volunteered as a fireman, served as an ambulance driver, served as a county officer in one of the major political parties, chairman of the Planning and Zoning commission, and served 11 years as an elected official, helping our community become a city, and elected as our Mayor (Oak Grove, Mn)....ha, ha St Francis!! After retirement Dee and I moved to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina....this place is Paradise! Pretty hard to vacation to elsewhere although I still like to make it to the Mn State Fair. We volunteer quite a lot here...Dee at the Hospital, me at the Volunteers in Medicine clinic. We both volunteer at the Arts Center, and both of us volunteer at the 'Concours de Elegance'....We love it here...there's a ton of wildlife things to take pics of, keeps us both quite busy.
